Choosing a Ring

Finding the Correct Ring Size

Platinum 2.02ct diamond ring from Baker Brothers'

There are a few ways to size your finger, but the best and most reliable, is to visit a jeweller, allowing you discuss in detail all about that important ring.

Other ways of sizing is to use a paper measure, but these can be inaccurate due to them twisting or stretching. Using string is also not reliable for the same reasons.

Using a ring sizing sheet is slightly more reliable, and requires the wearer to have an existing ring or try on rings to find the correct size. By placing the ring over the sheet, the right letter size can be found when the circle completely fills the inside of the ring without overlapping.

Bear in mind the width of the band and the style will affect the size. Rings with a deep band will need to be slightly larger than normal. Also be mindful that finger sizes vary from the left hand to the right.

A ring should fit a finger comfortably snug so it does not fall off, but loose enough to slide over the knuckle with a small amount of resistance. Your finger size changes according to time and weather. It is best to measure at the end of the day and also when your fingers are warm.

Remember, do not fret about ring sizing – the team at Baker brothers can help with all your queries, ensuring you get it right every time.
